With all the hype and noise being bombarded at us all over the web on how to make big money with offerings of guarantees to sky rocket our income with so many products, affiliates etc its little wonder we become so confused that sadly most of us end up doing nothing or get scammed in some way. Its a fact that there definitely are many ways to make a substantial income online. however, not everyone is cut out for the kind of work that's involved in building such a business, making money on the internet really does require some real effort on our part if we are to be successful. Out of all the various ways that offer a genuine money making venture online are affiliate marketing, blogging, and selling various products, there are many other ways also.
Blogging (like a personal online diary)
Making money from blogging does take some time and requires the skills that most of us already have. Although, not all of us are cut out to be budding writers but with practice its a skill that we can improve upon.
1 Creating the blog
The first steps to starting your blog are fairly simple, the fact that you are reading this article shows that you have more than likely surpassed that step. There are many blogging sites out there , with some of the most popular being blogger, wordpress & spuarespace. The ones quoted here are very user friendly offering a tutorial to take you through the various steps to create and publish your writings.
2 Subject material (niche)
The majority of bloggers usually pick a certain topic that they specialise in, whilst some remain very open minded in what they write about. The general rule is that if you find a subject that you are passionate about then its far easier to write about it consistently. Also, being a niche writer this also has the effect of attracting a loyal base of visitors who will pay frequent visits and perhaps will subscribe to your blog. If the topics are all over the place then it may be far harder to appeal to the same audience. Anyway, its your blog and the most important thing is to have fun and be creative!
3 Attracting visitors to your blog
Now you have your blog nicely filling up with really interesting articles for the masses to see. Perhaps your even feeling a bit nervous about all those potential visitors dropping by to read and perhaps even comment on your writings? Well, there is a very important thing you really need to know in order to drive that traffic to your blog: SEO, search engine optimization. To make your blog visible to people all over the internet you need to follow some very basic steps that will enable your blog to be picked up by the major search engines, Google search engine being perhaps the most important one that should come to mind at this stage. So, how do you get to rank on there search engine? Without going into too much detail as that would fill a whole site on the subject, basically these search engines rank your website for certain keywords, they use a complex algorithm for ranking content that are on websites, blogs. They rank a site depending on the keywords, title page, content along with other factors. By doing a quick search you can find many articles explaining how to you would go about working with SEO to make your blog more appealing to these search engines, directories. But one things is for certain, once you are included within the search engines you will start to find the number of visitors to your blog will increase. Keep blogging and build up content to keep those number of people coming back for more.
4 Making money (monetizing your blog)
Now you have your blog with great content attracting a steady stream of visitors, but something is missing? Anyone who has been online for a while attracting visitors to there site knows that this is a recipe for making money. With blogging there are several different money making streams that you can apply to generate a good income if done correctly. This is called (monetizing).
